About Us Since launching in the summer of 2002 and following the receipt of design awards at the Daily Telegraph and House and Garden Fair and at Decorex International JVB has consistently added pieces to the collections and there are now over 150 standard products. JVB carries stock of the standard items ensuring almost immediate delivery in the specially developed Modern Dark and Modern Light colour stains on beautifully detailed mahogany furniture. JVB has employed designers such as Greg Mellor (talented South African designer now living in Sydney) to collaborate and produce furniture as well as working closely with our manufacturers to develop products that maintain a level of creative integrity with a quality our clients have come to expect. The Team Justin Van Breda Justin Van Breda opened JVB feeling that the time had come for "a sexy design vision that bridges interiors you can just flop down in with a sense of grandeur". Justin Van Breda is a South African trained interior designer. He came to London following his graduation from the University of Stellenbosch and Design Time, School of Interior Design in Cape Town in 1998. He worked for the inspiring Nicholas Haslam at NH Design in London until June 2001 as Creative Director. He returned to South Africa in 2001/2002 to put together the first JVB collection. Justin lives in London and is often abroad searching for design inspiration and developing new products. Kathryn Ledson Kathryn followed business studies with a term at Sotheby’s dealing with worldwide distribution and cataloguing. This progressed to the instruction of setting up a contemporary art gallery, under her Director from Sotheby’s where she remained successfully for a number of years. Kathryn now brings this experience to JVB as the operations manager. Kathryn lives in London and is in the process of restoring her flat. Alison Hogg After a career in the hospitality industry in Australia, Asia and Europe, Alison studied interior design and decoration under Nicholas Springman at the famous Inchbald School of Design. Alison graduated with distinction and joined JVB in 2007. Having lived in Sydney, Singapore, Bangkok and Paris, Alison has reclocated to London and is persuing her passions for the interior design world. Nicola Barnett With a BScHons in Business Studies and a career in advertising and publishing behind her, Nicola then spent 18 months travelling extensively in South America, New Zealand and Asia. A move to London prompted a much desired move to a more creative industry and she is now at JVB persuing these interests.
