Renowned watercolour botanical artist, Katharine Amies
has artworks in collections at both the Hunt Institute at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and the Shirley Sherwood Gallery at Kew Gardens. Trained at the Chelsea Physic Garden in 2001, her work seeks to capture the intimate essence of plants in a manner that photographs, in spite of their detail, fail to convey. Her considered and detailed work is also sold into high profiled private collections. Katharine Amies has collaborated with the Fabric Room by Justin Van Breda with this exciting, new and exclusive botanical fabric line. Katharine lives in Berkshire with her family, working closely with her father, Charles Flower, who has pioneered the movement of countryside restoration since the 1980’s working with Natural England.
